Word of the Day — Gunishment

Gunishment

The punishment doled out to convicted paedophiles in order to de-wrong their brains. (etymology: gun + punishment; source: Chris Morris, 2001)

A mixture of gun and punishment, forming the type of punishment with the word punishment.
“Man, these people don’t just need punishment… they need gunishment”

Some 25 years ago my father in law , who has now since passed put forward a very similar theory at the dinner table one night. His statement was bought about by the unmasking of a kiddy fiddler in our rural town .
” there’s only one way to deal with those sort of bastards , the problems in their heads , therefore you remove the head from the shoulders“
Stuck with me for a long time that one .

I have family down in Palmy, they certainly don’t want to send their kids to him when sick anymore! d2bnz’s father had a very good grip on the only way to deal with them.
Is it truly possible to alter the law in a corrupt environment?

I used to work in the area of prisoner rehabilitation. I knew three rapists really well..One went inside on preventive detention , when preventive detention meant preventive detention. Not sure what happened to another older guy , a third one…I.don’t think he ever got preventive detention but would have got it if he had been convicted of rape again. With this guy it was like an hormonal kind of thing..we all knew when he was ”on.” He has since died .He came from quite a well known family.
If it is an hormonal problem , why isn’t there treatment?
A man I know works at ChCh mens prison..he used to work in a sex offenders unit..he said it was easy because they were all so drugged up…So why can’t rapists and paedophiles be drugged up in the community? Overseas ‚you sometimes hear of sex offenders begging to be castrated.
People with psychiatric disorders who won’t take medication sometimes get compulsory treatment orders..and medication by injection. Why can’t all these men be getting compulsory treatment? I guess the country is so PC , a discussion around this would soon hit the Paedophiles Bill of Rites and an army of over zealous lawyers.
What is being done overseas?

Nigel Latta wrote in his book, Into the Darklands, that there are only two options with paedo’s and they are Cure em, or Kill em. It seems that neither is being done.
