Well done. Just goes to show that we haven’t moved far from the pinko socialist era of yesteryear. That not only applies to this but to the other socialist dogma that infests our nation.

Blogger’s actions under scrutiny

Saturday, 12, Dec, 2009 5:16AM

Police will be consulting the Crown after a blogger broke allegedly the name suppression of an Olympian facing rape charges.

The accused athlete appeared in court yesterday facing 13 charges including raping his wife.

A blogger has since placed images on the internet which, when considered together, point to the Olympian’s name, which is the subject of a suppression order.

Police say they will await instruction from the court and will consult their lawyers handling the case. They will be considering whether any impact has been made on the prosecution.

It amuses me greatly that every media outlet that reports this story has confirmed the pictures are accurate.
Therefore are they not breaching the suppression order too?

If comes down to a court case I suspect a lot of people would be prepared to contribute to your defence costs for the right to be able to publish harmless pictures on your blog. I don’t see how you can be held accountable for me drawing inferences from that.
