At last the NZ Media wakes up

by Whaleoil on November 28, 2009 · 10 comments

Finally the Lame Stream Media catches up with a weeks worth of blog content and writes a story about the fraud that Climate Scientists have perpetrated upon the citizens of the planet.

They have even published some of the more damning emails. Why it took a week is beyond me, blogs and other world wide media have been reporting this for a week now.

The genie is out of the bottle. Anything that the authors involved in those emails says is suspect, but especially Michael Mann, Phil Jones, Jim Salinger.

The Herald does outline both sides but that is good because you get to see how feeble the excuses are from the liars who have now become the deniers.

What amazes me is that New Zealand’s number one blogger has yet to even post once on the issue despite a week of controversy. I know he is hobbling around the middle east too afraid to get on a camel’s back but really this is a pretty slack effort from a blogging professional. For once the LSM beat Farrar to a story….incredible isn’t it?

maybe it was 8 days, lord knows the slack MSM are a slow as an eight day week. There is still a glimmer of hope that an ETS will not make it through the Australian Parliament before Copenhagen. Despite the obvious lying and deceit. Both main party leaders insist we need an ETS.

Malcolm Turn-ball-less has almost lost his post as opposition leader as more of his party wake up to the scam, yet he still says the same things as Kevin look at me look at me Rudd. The tired old phrases, it would be irresponsible of us not to act, and the endless bagging of those who disagree. It’s as tiring as it frustrating.

The sooner the mainstream media stop telling the pollies, they look good in their new clothes, the better.

It seems like Politicians ignore ‘experts’ all the time because their use their better judgement, but AGW ‘experts’ seem to have special powers that have the pols in their spell.
It reminds me of the great Martian ‘canals’ science fraud which lasted from the late 19th into the middle of the 20th century.

Some even said the Martians were building new ones, because we were doing so on Earth ( Suez etc)

I see that Wattsupwiththat.com launches into NIWA and their lame excuses for the temperature fiddles. Showing a photo of the roof of the Kelburn building with the temperature gauge surrounded by the air con units.

NOAA rule for temperature gauges states they should close to the ground seems to be ignored as well, same applies at Rongotai.

eg

Class 1 (CRN1)- Flat and horizontal ground surrounded by a clear surface with a slope below 1/3 (<19deg). Grass/low vegetation ground cover <10 centimeters high. Sensors located at least 100 meters from artificial heating or reflecting surfaces, such as buildings, concrete surfaces, and parking lots. Far from large bodies of water, except if it is representative of the area, and then located at least 100 meters away. No shading when the sun elevation >3 degrees.

They can do it for Albert Park in Auckland, why not Wellington. If it moved in 1927 from a waterfront site in Thorndon, it cant have been the rooftop site they use now. Why was it moved again in the seventies and what have the ‘adjustements’ been since then

Mediatart: the photo is correct but the background is not – that is NIWA’s building which is not used to gather temperature data for Wellington. The data is gathered from a weather station on the ground in Kelburn near the MetService building (I used to work there). So the official data is coming from a correctly positioned station. That having been said, the cooking of the data is still a bad thing and NIWA has some serious explaining to do.
